Woodland Sculpture Trail
Hydrangea series of Hidden Treasures. Series of sculptures positioned at various points throughout the woodland trail. Sculptures were sited unobtrusively, encouraging the viewer to really take note of the details all around the area. Whilst looking for the sculptures, viewers observed leaves and flowers, insects and birds that may otherwise have passed them by.
Positioning the sculptures close to shafts of daylight ensured a natural spotlighting, highlighting the translucency of the clay.
Occasional pops of colour within the otherwise calming greens and browns of the environment. Colours used in the sculptures all derived from use of natural oxides and echoed those of the plant's seasonal colours.
